The Fly Fishing Revolution : No Fly Rod Needed™
with Capt Ken's Designer Bass Micro FROGs™
Be a "Finesse FROG Fishing" expert with Capt Ken's ultimate finesse fishing FROGs, using 6 - 10 lb. braid line and light tackle to fool the most difficult bass in the most extreme spooky situations with clear, shallow, and calm water. Turn those disadvantages to your own advantage against suspicious bass in hard fished waters that think they are safe, eating only the tiniest FROGs that have never, ever been a problem in their whole lives since they were young tiny fingerling predators. They even feel like gummy little treats in their mouth, and they will not suspect a thing --- until you set the hook ! Very weedless too.
Do not underestimate these little guys, even for BIG Bass. but in some environments, it may be a challenge to land them, and you will catch many, many Bass while you are waiting for the Big One.
Just like the full size Capt Ken's Designer Bass FROGs™, The Capt Ken's Designer Bass Micro FROGs™ can be made with the "Hook-UP-Front" System, and just like the bigger FROGs, you can change your hook in seconds to a larger or smaller hook or to a new sharper hook if you need one. It is best fished on 6-10 lb braid with a #6 Kahle Style hook with the wire clip that holds the lightweight elastic weedguard. This setup is extremely weedless, especially because it is also very light weight, but the Feather Legs on this FROG have very little wind resistance when wet, resulting in the ability to cast long distances across the shallows with up to 10 lb braid. A longer rod also helps to get great distances but it can be cast on shorter rods also. However, your tackle should not be so stiff that yo might bend the hook. Hooksets are extremely easy, but there is some skill required to battle Big Bass through heavier cover.
The Feather Leg models are not only the least wind resistant, but they also have extremely active, tantalizing legs that are also extremely durable. They can have a bigger stronger stainless steel "Belly Hook" as above, and also they can have the very efficient "Allen Loop" weedguard that is so popular and effective on fly fishing poppers as in the photo below.
The FROG above is a Leopard FROG. Many species are available to be made "custom" just the same as is possible with the full size Original Series FROGs. You can watch me catch some Big Bass on this one above in the Youtube video below..
This Baby Green Bull FROG has an extra long soft action set of Feather Legs that are extremely active in the water. They are moving in the water, even when the FROG is not.
This exact FROG caught the BIG Bass in the YouTube video --- Monster Bass on the Micro FROG. You can watch me catch it in the YouTube video below. These guys are so much fun watching the smaller bass gobble-clobber them, you will not mind at all if you go home without catching a monster bass, but you just might catch that monster bass also !
The Bass in the above video was caught on 6 lb braid line, a 7 ft ultralight rod, and a green Baby Bull FROG Micro FROG. You can watch me catch this bass in the YouTube video --- Monster Bass on the Micro FROG. But you'll have to watch me catch a bunch of smaller bass first because they liked it too.
Capt Ken's Designer Bass Micro FROGs and Light Tackle combine to help you catch a lot more more bass even under difficult situations such as extreme shallow water, very clear water and even high pressured water. You will catch a lot more smaller bass, but you can still get the Big Bass that also want to sip in a safe, tasty, tiny tidbit of a FROG that is fished with great finesse. More finesse than a fly rod and more fun than your Tuna Rod !
What kind of FROG should I make for you ?
